conventional print? Our branches
offer a wide selection of large
print books, including bestsellers,
romances and mysteries. Pick one up
or reserve one and arrange for
pick-up at your local branch.
Audiobooks
There are abridged
and unabridged works of
fiction and non-fiction recorded on
audiocassette and CD.
Downloadable Media
Our
Library2Go service offers hundreds
of audiobooks that can be downloaded
and played on your PC, MP3 player,
or iPod.
DVDs
and VHS Movies
All branch libraries offer many
movie titles, including new
releases.
Computer and
Internet Access
The
Internet is a tool for lifelong
learning, providing a wealth of
information. But like all resources,
not all material is suitable for all
age levels or tastes. As with books,
magazines, videos, and television
programs, there will be some items,
which you may find controversial or
inappropriate for yourselves and
especially for your children.
Parents are encouraged to supervise
their child's Internet sessions, and
to inform the child if there are
resources they don't want the child
to access.
Patrons must adhere to the Library's
Internet Use Policy Any individual
violating the conditions outlined in
the policy will be denied access at
the discretion of the Arkansas River
Valley Regional Library System.
Our
computers are equipped with
Microsoft Office and Adobe Reader,
with a public access printer.
First five copies are free, and then
there is a charge for any additional
copies.
Wireless (WiFi)
All branch libraries provide free
WiFi service available in the
library.
